Tally for iHeartRadio Music Awards

65 million hashtags later …

Well, it’s over. Possibly the greatest collection of music industry personalities since … the last Grammys, the iHeart Music Awards show, has come and gone, on Thursday night, May 1.

Aired on NBC TV and Clear Channel radio stations, the show occupied several venues in Los Angeles providing beau coup opportunities for selfies, pictures, tweets and texts.

A release noted: “The iHeartRadio Music Awards was a dominant social media topic throughout the week of the show, with #iHeartAwards trending No. 1 on Twitter throughout the night and continuing to trend with tweets and retweets from fans as well as artists.”

Here is a list of the winners of the awards, determined by over 65 million hashtag votes on Facebook and Twitter. I guess that’s better than Johnny Carson’s mayonnaise jar (that’s a joke).
