The Spark and the Fire

Local Arizona radio station found itself close to wildfire

There’s an old adage of war that there are no atheists in foxholes. The same might be said of those in the path of a wildfire.

KWRB(FM) in Sierra Vista, Arizona, is an affiliate of the World Radio Network ministry. Called “The Spark,” it has found itself close to the wildfires in Arizona. But instead of decamping to safer ground, the Spark staff headed for the fire to bring supplies and visit with firefighters and refugees from the flames.

Station director and “Breakfast Club” morning show host Arron Daniels and crew are working with firefighters, the Red Cross, Salvation Army and local authorities. They have delivered several thousand bottles of water and Gatorade donated by listeners among other supplies.

HCJB Global wrote about it in its newsletter.
