FERRARA, Italy � Italian FM transmitter manufacturer Elenos has acquired U.S. radio equipment manufacturer Broadcast Electronics, the companies announced.
Elenos� FM transmitters are known for their �compact design, reliability, and sound quality,� as well as a focus on energy efficiency, according to the announcement.
Two years earlier, Elenos acquired Itelco and its analog and digital TV transmitter technology. The company also includes the 22HBG and FM-world brands.
BE was founded in 1959 and began manufacturing transmitters in 1977. The company is among the largest manufacturers of radio equipment in the US.
