FAIRBORN, Ohio — Microwave Update 2018 is seeking abstracts from hams interested in presenting at the conference.
Submissions should be focused on “the technical and operational aspects of microwave amateur radio communications,” according to the group’s website. Note that presentations must be delivered in person or by proxy.
Questions and proposals should be sent to John Ackermann (N8UR).
Abstracts and estimated presentation durations must be submitted by Aug. 25 to be considered. MUD also encourages potential presenters to submit companion papers, which will then be published in the proceedings book, if they are received prior to Sept. 1. Material received after this date but prior to Sept. 25 can be added to the proceedings CD, MUD says.
The book and CD are given to conference attendees.
The Midwest VHF/UHF Society will host this year’s event from Oct. 11-14 in Fairborn, Ohio. Also known as MUD, the event “is an international conference dedicated to microwave equipment design, construction and operation.”
