Alpine to Debut Aftermarket Integrated XM Tuner/Head Unit

Alpine is getting rid of the second box in the satellite radio installation scheme.
It says it has the first aftermarket CD car receiver with an integrated XM Satellite Radio tuner. Previous configurations required customers to buy an XM-ready head unit, tuner module and antenna.
The Alpine CDA 9820 has an XM tuner built into the single DIN unit. It will ship in January with a target retail price of $349.
Customers must still buy an antenna. XM’s new micro antenna is compatible with the Alpine unit.
