Arbitron has commercialized its Portable People Meter radio ratings in five more markets — for a total of 25.
The new PPM markets are: Tampa–St. Petersburg–Clearwater, Fla.; St. Louis; Denver–Boulder, Colo.; Baltimore; and Pittsburgh.
Arbitron has released radio audience estimates for the September 2009 PPM survey period of Aug. 20–Sept. 16. PPM audience estimates are now the buy/sell “currency” in 25 local markets. These markets account for more than 50 percent of the estimated radio station revenue in all Arbitron-rated markets.
The audience research developer plans to commercialize its PPM radio ratings service in nine more markets on Dec. 31.
