ATA Audio is now shipping its Scoop E-Z codec with a built-in GSM module.
“This technology will change the way broadcasters do remotes because there is no need for an actual cell phone,” stated President Alvin Sookoo.
ATA Audio recently won the exclusive license to make and market the former AETA Audio codec line and pro audio line in North America.
“The SIM card is inserted inside the unit and dialing functions are controlled via the Scoop E-Z keypad,” Sookoo said. “We tested the unit in the USA and Europe and the audio quality is outstanding.”
With a built-in battery feature, a broadcaster can do a remote from anywhere, he said; there is no need for an external battery kit.
