Belden is pushing to accelerate its growth in the industrial market.
It said it has completed purchase of the assets of Lumberg Automation Components from The Lumberg Group for an undisclosed cash price. Lumberg is based in Schalksmuhle, Germany, and also has production facilities in the United States.
Lumberg Automation is a supplier of industrial connectors, cord-sets and field bus communication components for factory automation machinery. The company’s 2006 revenues were approximately $75 million.
Belden said the deal complements the industrial connectivity portfolio of Hirschmann Automation and Control, which it recently acquired.
