Bill Skelton Dies

Was former chairman of National Religious Broadcasters

The National Religious Broadcasters announced the passing of former Chairman Bill Skelton.

The news comes as the association opens its annual convention in Nashville.

“In addition to being a faithful and long-time member of NRB and serving on both the NRB board of directors and the founding board of the NRB Network,” the organization stated, “Bill Skelton held the position of president & CEO of Memphis-based Love Worth Finding (LWF) until very recently. In this role, Skelton continued the legacy of Dr. Adrian Rogers in the mission of bringing people to Christ and maturing them in the faith. He played a key part in expanding LWF’s television, radio and Internet ministries.”

NRB quoted President/CEO Dr. Frank Wright saying Skelton “left a mark of grace on almost everyone he encountered.”

Skelton is survived by his wife, Barbara, three children and five grandchildren.
