Axia Audio, developer of the Livewire IP audio networking standard, announced that Burli, maker of the Burli Newsroom automated software system, has become an Axia Partner.
The takeaway on that is that Burli Newsroom will become compatible with Livewire networks.
Burli General Manager Ian Gunn said: “A good number of our mutual clients are already running both Burli Newsroom software and Axia IP-Audio gear … and they’ve asked whether we might collaborate to enhance integration between our products. I believe our companies’ association will be a fruitful one for both our clients, and for us.”
Livewire is an IP audio networking standard that uses Ethernet to enable routing and sharing of audio and logic in the broadcast plant. Axia says Livewire systems are installed in approximately 2,000 studios.
