RAB has chosen Bill Burton to receive the Kevin B. Sweeney Award at next month’s RAB2002 conference in Orlando, Fla. Burton is president and chief operating officer of the Detroit Radio Advertising Group. According to the RAB, he is well known for his tag line “Be fabulous” and crazy stunts and antics. The Sweeney Award recognizes outstanding leadership and success in radio sales. Previous winners include Gordon Mason, Ed McLaughlin, George Wolfson and Wayne Cornils.
The RAB’s annual Radio Sales Management & Leadership Conference is slated for Feb. 7-10 at Disney’s World’s Orlando resort.
