CBS Sports Radio will unwrap on Jan. 2, 2013 with a full lineup of programming, the network has announced.
The daily schedule looks something like this according to CBS: 6–9 a.m. — Tiki Barber, Brandon Tierney and Dana Jacobson; 9–noon — John Feinstein; noon–3 p.m. — Jim Rome; 3–6 p.m. — Doug Gottlieb; 6–10 p.m. — Chris Moore and Brian Jones; 10 p.m.–2 a.m. — Scott Ferrall and 2–6 a.m. — Damon Amendolara.
The last piece of the programming puzzle was the creation of an evening show. Former pro football player and veteran CBS Sports analyst Brian Jones will be joining ex-Fox Sports Radio host Chris Moore for that slot.
CBS Sports Radio estimates it will kick-off with more than 100 affiliates at midnight, Jan. 2, 2013.
That will be in time to enjoy the monster CBS Sports bash for the week(s) around Super Bowl XLVII. According to a release, CBS (the network), is building a campus in New Orleans to be called CBS Super Bowl Park at Jackson Square. All CBS media properties will make use of it, even Bob Schieffer and his “Face the Nation with Bob Schieffer” broadcast. CBS Sports Radio will make use of the spread as well.
