Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Atlanta has named Joe Gersh general sales manager, effective Jan. 14, 2013.
Gersh has more than 25 years of experience in the media sales industry, most recently served as GSM for Clear Channel Chicago’s WKSC(FM) and WLIT(FM).
He has also worked as director of business development for NRS Media, a multimedia sales training and consulting company, and senior vice president for U.S. Broadcast Group based in Atlanta.
Gersh has held various senior level media sales management positions at College Television Network Media Group, New Vision Television Group and Fox Broadcasting Co.
“Joe brings a wealth of sales and marketing expertise to our cluster. He is a seasoned veteran with vast experience in Atlanta and incredible success in the contemporary hit radio format,” said Matt Scarano, market president for Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Atlanta.
Clear Channel Atlanta owns and operates WBZY(FM), WWPW(FM), WWLG(FM), WUBL(FM), WWVA(FM) and WGST(AM).
