To commemorate the release of The Beatles “Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” album 50 years ago, French-language rock station Classic 21 temporarily relocated its on-air studio on June 1 to the iconic Synsound recording studio in Brussels.

Gathered in the studio were presenter Marc Ysaye; studio owner, producer and recording engineer Dan Lacksman and The Beatles-connoisseur Johan Ral.

The live broadcast was aired on public broadcaster RTBF’s Classic 21 channel between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. and included lots of anecdotes and interview snippets about the recording of the legendary album.

Ysaye also explained the meaning behind some of the song titles on the album, which was being rereleased in a special edition in celebration of the 50th anniversary.
