ESPN’s well-known radio host Colin Cowherd will be picking up stakes and moving on.
It is strongly rumored he’ll settle at Fox Sports. Whether that means exclusively Fox Sports Radio or also the TV arm is unknown. Cowherd has done TV in the past, so he might be looking for a larger multimedia deal.
Cowherd is the third high-profile ESPN host to leave lately but the first radio personality and the first wherein it doesn’t look like he might have been pushed out, or at least hip-checked. A recent story in the Wall Street Journal hinted that ESPN may be looking to trim costs.
Cowherd started with ESPN in 2003. He had a considerable local TV sportscasting career before national radio. He was Nevada’s Sportscaster of the Year five times.
