CUSIB Welcomes Michael Benjamin to Advisory Board

Former N.Y. Assemblyman said to be advocate for the oppressed

The Committee for U. S. International Broadcasting, a nongovernmental organization involved in international broadcasting, has added Michael Benjamin as a member of its advisory board.

Benjamin has experience in the fields of government, human services and politics. He serves as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations State & Local Officials Program. Benjamin was elected to four terms as a member of the New York State Assembly, and before entering the State Assembly in 2003, he headed the Bronx Board of Elections.

CUSIB Director Ted Lipien said both Benjamin’s experience and concern for society’s oppressed and marginalized groups will help CUSIB’s campaign to strengthen civic journalism by the taxpayer-funded entities of U.S. international broadcasting.
