Radio industry vet David Kennedy is the new CEO at FlyCast, where he has been an investor.
The current CEO and vice chairman of Interep was for many years an executive of Susquehanna Media Corp. FlyCast was founded in 2006 by execs out of the PC industry to create IP-based mobile delivery technology that focused on smartphones and other mobile digital devices. Its partners include Entercom Communications and AccuRadio.
Sam Abadir, FlyCast founder and CEO, will take the titles of chairman and chief technology officer.
Kennedy said the company is hoping to be part of the “mobile entertainment revolution.”
He began his career with Susquehanna Radio as an announcer in Toledo in 1973, eventually rising to become president and COO of Susquehanna Media Co. in 2004.
