D.A.V.I.D. Systems has promoted Richard Doll to president, overseeing the company’s U.S. business. He had been executive VP. Fridolin Mueller was transferred from Germany, where he had been a project specialist, to Virginia, and was named vice president of solutions. Doll described Mueller as a “key technical resource” who had been pulled into several projects over two years. Mueller also will represent the supplier on the NRSC.
Also, D.A.V.I.D. hired Doug Bertelmann as sales manager.
“Doug will take over our sales efforts at a crucial time for our operation,” Doll stated in the announcement. “When we started the business in 2001 we relied solely on reseller partnerships, but it became apparent that we could not fully realize our potential without direct sales.” He said Bertelmann has knowledge of day-to-day radio operations and a sales background. He has been a senior producer and GM for stations at Jefferson Pilot Communications and ABC Radio, and held positions at Cisco and Wicks Broadcasting.
