The DIASneu project will replace the existing digital audio production and playout systems in Bonn and Berlin with a state-of-the-art hardware and software environment.

VCS Aktiengesellschaft has been awarded a multi-million euro order by Deutsche Welle to renew its current digital audio production and playout system (DIAS).

Over the next two years, VCS will implement a dira! system tailored for the needs of Deutsche Welle within the framework of a project codenamed DIASneu. Deutsche Welle will use the system to produce and broadcast its programs in 30 languages with a daily production volume of more than 100 hours.

The DIASneu project will replace the existing digital audio production and playout systems in Bonn and Berlin with a state-of-the-art hardware and software environment.

As general contractor for the project, VCS will supply the dira! software, extensive supplementary services and a large part of the IT platform. The order also encompasses training and a long-term maintenance contract.
