EMF Buys Station in Kilgore, Texas

Noncom station KTPB(FM) is sold by Kilgore Junior College to California-based Educational Media Foundation.
The station went for $2 million. It operates on 88.7 MHz at 79 kW. The broker was Patrick Communications.
The station went on the air in 1991 and currently airs classical, jazz and news to East Texans. It went to 24 hours in 2002, according to its Web site.
