Entercom Communications has named Cat Thomas as operations manager for St. Louis’ KYKY(FM), KEZK(FM) and KNOU(FM,) effective Jan. 1. Also, John Hanson has been tapped as program director for WCCO(AM) in Minneapolis.
Thomas most recently served as vice president of contemporary formats for Cumulus Media. Prior to that he was vice president of programming and program director in Las Vegas for CBS Radio. He got his start in radio 29 years ago as traffic report for Nationwide Communications/WNCI in Columbus, Ohio.
Hanson most recently was PD for KCSP(AM) and KWOD(AM) in Kansas City. Prior to joining Entercom in 2013 he co-hosted “Twin Cities Live” on KSTP(TV) in Minneapolis and also was PD for Las Vegas’ KBAD(AM).
“I’ve tuned into this station my entire life, so I know all about its legendary past,” Hanson said of WCCO.
