The president of the Southern California Broadcasters Association, Mary Beth Garber, has accepted a position with the Katz Radio Group as executive vice president for radio analysis and insights.
Garber had been at the association for almost 13 years, winning numerous awards and industry recognition. She has also recently aggressively pushed back against the “radio is dead” talk.
Garber said: “The SCBA is the premier radio association in the country, with an incredible staff … Its stations and its members have made Los Angeles the #1 radio revenue market in the world.”
The executive board of the SCBA will meet to discuss the search process and future options for the organization, according to a statement.
