Volvo Electric SUVs to Offer SiriusXM 360L

The hybrid radio platform combines satellite and streaming functionality

Some buyers of new Volvos will soon have the option to subscribe to SiriusXM’s 360L hybrid radio platform.

This marks the debut of the 360L platform in Volvos; the first models are the 2024 electric Volvo EX30 and EX90 SUVs.

The announcement was made by Mike Cottone, president of Volvo Car USA and Canada, and Gail Berger, senior vice president and general manager of automotive partnerships, SiriusXM.

The platform combines satellite and streaming content delivery. The company promotes its content discovery and personalization features. The software and features can be updated over the air.

Volvo Cars customers in the United States who purchase or lease a SiriusXM-equipped vehicle are given a three-month trial subscription to the SiriusXM Platinum Plan.

In recent months, Mercedes-Benz announced it would start adding 360L to its lineup, and Alpine released its software update that includes SiriusXM-Ready with 360L on compatible head units, the first aftermarket car audio company to offer SiriusXM-ready head units with the hybrid radio platform.
