Ibiquity says it is beefing up staff to help stations market HD Radio.
The technology developer has hired Rene Jamerson, former director of FM operations and promotions for Infinity Broadcasting's 5-station Maryland cluster in Baltimore, and Roy Sampson, formerly marketing/promotions manager for Times-Shamrock Communications WZBA(FM), Baltimore, as broadcast marketing managers.
Jamerson and Sampson will help Don Kelly, director of broadcast marketing, position HD Radio to station on-air staff and support station efforts to reach consumers.
Ibiquity also hired Vicki Stearn as director of marketing and communications. She had been a communications consultant to Ibiquity as well as a freelance consultant in the satellite and IT industries. She also held PR and communication positions with XM Satellite and Your Choice TV at Discovery Communications. She reports to Dave Salemi, vice president of marketing.


Ibiquity Hires Retail Marketing Expert

The technology developer has hired James (JR) Stocks II as director of retail marketing, a new position. Stocks will work with retail and manufacturing partners to build HD Radio’s retail presence. His responsibilities will include retail product launches, promotions and point-of-purchase materials.
