LBA Hires Long as DOE

He was with U.S. Cellular for more than two decades

LBA Group has named Kevin Long as its director of engineering.

The company, based in North Carolina, sells products and services including RF safety, lightning protection, antenna systems and engineering solutions. It comprises LBA Technology, consultancy Lawrence Behr Associates Inc., and websites for online training and e-commerce. 

“Kevin brings with him over two decades of invaluable experience in RF system engineering, phased array antenna architectures, strategic planning, engineering management, budget management, regulatory requirements, team leadership, analytics, and problem solving,” the company said in its announcement.

Notably he worked for 22 years 22 at U.S. Cellular in leadership positions including senior manager system performance and manager regional system performance. 

Long holds a master of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Arkansas and an MBA in business administration and management from the University of Tulsa. 

The director of engineering role had been held by CEO Lawrence Behr.

The announcement was made by Jennifer Cargile, VP of LBA Group, and Craig Conticchio, senior director.

LBA Group also recently received a patent for its Strike Master Hybrid Lightning Protection System
