OMT says it is offering a new iMediaImport Module for its iMediaTouch digital audio and broadcast system. It said the module automatically imports station content from a variety of sources including third-party multi-track editing tools, newsroom applications, FTP sites, network folders and NPR’s pending ContentDepot.
“Utilizing the popular ‘Cart Chunk’ and id3 tagging systems, users of iMediaImport can have any
content automatically placed and titled into an iMediaTouch system,” the company stated. Ron Paley, founder and senior business developer, said in the announcement that the company had introduced the ability to transcode digital audio seven years ago, and called this the next step in the automated transcoding of content for radio broadcasters that will make sharing content easier.
