The International Telecommunication Union has awarded Digital Radio Mondiale with a 10-year anniversary membership certificate.
Telecommunication Development Bureau Director Brahima Sanou awarded the certificate to DRM Chairman Ruxandra Obreja on behalf of the organization in Geneva in October.
The certificate was given in recognition of the organization’s support for and contributions to the ITU’s Telecommunication Development Sector.
“This is the highest honor bestowed on all the members of the Consortium, all the individuals and the companies and organizations that over the years have contributed to the development of the standard and its two key modes (DRM30 for AM and DRM+ for VHF),” said Obreja.
