Lawo has announced that it recently supplied its IP-based products to various stations in the Middle East. In particular, both Qatar Radio in Doha, Qatar and JRTV Radio in Amman, Jordan have been supplied with Nova17 routers.
Designed for use in broadcasting and production, the Nova17 can be used for signal distribution, format conversion, or as a MADI breakout box, explains Lawo.
Qatar Radio uses the Ravenna-enabled routing system to handle audio streaming to workstation PCs, which are currently being used as an intermediate/distribution router in the master control room. JRTV has two Nova17 systems that are serving as intermediate/transmission routers.
Lawo is a manufacturer of both audio and video technology for radio and TV broadcast production, post-production and live performances. It is located in Rastatt, Germany.
