Lost Beatles Music Found On NPR

Lost Beatles Music Found On NPR

NPR’s All Songs Considered, a Web-only music show, will present a two-hour live feature about the recently discovered tapes from the Beatles “Let It Be” sessions on March 14 at 2 p.m. Eastern.

The show, hosted by Bruce Spizer, the author of a new book called “The Beatles on Apple Records” and NPR’s Bob Boilen, will play selections from the sessions and give a glimpse at the Beatles as they were breaking up.

In Jan. 1969, the Beatles had begun a project called “Get Back” to rehearse new songs to be performed on live TV-the group had filmed a month of rehearsals that later became the film and LP “Let It Be,” but the now-recovered audiotapes for the film reels were later stolen.
