Three Reno, Nev., outlets for Lotus Communication raised $50,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in the 14th annual St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Radio-Thon, March 7–8. According to a release, over the years the stations have raised over $1 million in the event.
The three stations, all FMs, are KDOT, KOZZ and KUUB. Two are rockers and one, KUUB, is an ESPN Radio affiliate.
Lotus Radio Corp. General Manager Dane Wilt said, “Northern Nevada and nearly every community in the world benefits from money raised for St. Jude. The research conducted at their facility is shared with hospitals around the globe.”
