Broadcast business and market software developer and services provider Marketron has a new owner. Diversis Capital is now the controlling owner, taking over from BlackRock Capital, which will retain a stake.
No financial details were initially released.
However, it was announced that CEO Jeff Haley has been replaced by Michael Collins. Collins has a background in mobile advertising technology.
According to Collins, Diversis plans to make investments in the company. “The new investment from Diversis will allow us to rapidly evolve our product offerings and extend our leadership position.”
The release explained: “Diversis’ acquisition of Marketron comes as media companies face a crossroads and must transform to accommodate the new omnichannel environment. To help its clients meet this challenge, Marketron will further develop its digital and programmatic capabilities to increase revenue opportunities and expand the areas addressed by its existing revenue management products.”
