MRC Says OK to Media Monitors’ Radio Spot Service

The council is an industry association that seeks to ensure that measurement services are valid.

Media Monitors says it has won accreditation from the Media Rating Council for its Radio Spot Service.

In the announcement, MRC Executive Director George Ivie noted that Media Monitors is the first radio monitoring service to be audited and accredited by the group.

“I congratulate them on this noteworthy accomplishment for the spot radio advertising component of their service,” Ivie stated. Accreditation “provides subscribers with confidence that Media Monitors is identifying and reporting radio advertising occurrences in accordance with MRC Standards.”

Media Monitors President/CEO Philippe Generali called the announcement “a thrilling moment.”

Media Monitors is a subsidiary of RCS, which last year merged with Prophet Systems Innovations. It is part of Clear Channel.
