NATE Releases New Work Zone Safety Guidelines

Resource aims to "prevent accidents and create safer environments for all"

NATE has published a new document outlining work zone safety standards for ongoing construction and maintenance projects. “Work zone safety remains a critical priority to protect workers, drivers and pedestrians in and around these active sites,” says NATE.

The NATE Work Zone Safety Guideline is available as a free download on NATE’s website.

The guideline provides an overview of work zone safety, addressing select critical topics that aim to reduce accidents and improve operational efficiency.

NATE specifies that, while the document offers valuable insights, it is not intended to cover the full scope of work zone safety. Employers are encouraged to tailor their own safety plans to meet their own unique needs.

“We are committed to improving safety on public roadways by providing clear, standardized guidelines as well as pointing to applicable regulations,” said Brian Bicknese, NATE’s director of safety and education. “By utilizing the most current resources, employers and workers alike can implement effective safety measures to prevent accidents and create safer environments for all.”
