Nominations Due for Public Radio Engineer Award

Honor to be bestowed at PREC

Time is running out to submit nominations to the Association of Public Radio Engineers for the sixth annual Engineering Achievement Award.

The deadline for nominations is March 5.

The honor is to be awarded to a single individual for “outstanding contributions” to the art and/or science of radio engineering that have made a “significant impact on, or improvement in” the state of the public radio industry.

Last year’s honoree was Doug Vernier, chief executive officer of Doug Vernier, Telecommunication Consultants, and also president and owner of V-Soft Communications, LLC.

The honor will be awarded at the PREC; the event is at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas April 12–13, preceding the spring NAB Show.
