The nomination period opens Friday, July 1 for the NAB HD Radio Multicast Award.
Established in 2007, the award recognizes an HD Radio multicast station that’s creating unique, innovative or groundbreaking programming. Previous award recipients include KBCO(FM), Denver’s “The Studio C Channel;” WRIF(FM), Detroit’s “Riff2;” WHUR-World, an extension of Howard University’s WHUR(FM), Washington, D.C.; WAMU(FM), Washington, D.C. for its Bluegrass Country station, 88.5-2 and WSTW(FM), Wilmington, Del. for its 93.7-2 “Graffiti Radio” channel.
The deadline for submitting entries is July 31. The award will be presented during the 2011 Radio Show, Sept. 14–16, in Chicago.
