Norway is continuing its push toward digital radio, announcing that there is less than a month left until public broadcaster NRK’s FM broadcasts in Southern and Western Norway are terminated.
As of June 21, NRK will only transmit radio digitally to Sogn og Fjordane, Hordaland, Rogaland, Vest-Agder and Aust-Agder.
In addition, P4 and Radio Norway are scheduled to stop sending FM to these areas as of Sept. 15.
Norway began terminating FM broadcasts on Jan. 11 of this year, with the final FM signals expected to cease on Dec. 13.
