Connecticut Valley SBE and the CBA present Engineers Day

The Connecticut Broadcasters Association and the Connecticut Valley chapter of the SBE are joining for an Engineers Day at the Crowne Plaza Cromwell in Cromwell, Conn.

On the agenda are several instructive speeches. John Gustafson, emergency telecommunications manager at the Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, will discuss security initiatives in Connecticut.

Joel Kent on FBN Security, a Windsor, Conn.-based private security company, will examine security options for transmitter sites and other valuable property.

EAS “doctor” Gerald LeBow of Sage Alerting Systems will be on hand to demo the Digital ENDEC emergency alert system and talking about current and future EAS.

And Mark Bell of RF Central will speak in the afternoon on ENG truck safety.
