Overseas Press Club Awards Accolades

Mike Shuster of NPR is among the winners at the recent Overseas Press Club’s 64th Annual Awards.
The honors included radio, TV and photography were given honoring the “enterprising, in-depth (and) often courageous reporting on war and terrorism in the Middle East.”
The Lowell Thomas Award for best radio news or interpretation of international affairs was given to Shuster for “The Middle East: A Century of Conflict.”
ABC-TV’s Ted Koppel led a candle-lighting ceremony honoring journalists killed in Iraq. Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger was the main speaker. CNN’s Judy Woodruff presented the awards.
