Panelists Set for 'Decency Forum'

Representatives from ABC, Clear Channel, XM Satellite Radio, NAB and the FCC are among those slated to testify in what Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Ted Stevens is calling an "Open Forum on Decency."
The Alaska Republican is chairing the Nov. 29 hearing. Representatives from cable, TV and content groups are also expected to testify. Other participants may be added before next Tuesday.
The committee is working on a companion measure to one passed by the House that raises broadcast indecency fines and broadens the FCC's enforcement capabilities in this area.
