iHeartMedia has named Marshal Burgess as its market president for Portland, Ore.
The cluster has eight signals including an HD-2. Burgess will report to Tony Coles, division president for iHeartMedia Multiplatform Group and president of BIN: Black Information Network. Burgess succeeds replaces Pete Landry.
“Burgess is a veteran of the Portland radio market, having been with iHeartMedia for 25 years,” the company said in the announcement.
“He started out as an account executive in 1997, then was named local sales manager in 2003, was elevated to general sales manager in 2005 and was promoted to vice president of sales in 2015. He became senior vice president of sales in 2018. He began his career at CBS Radio in 1996 and is a graduate of the University of Oregon.”
