From our People News page: Neversink Media and AK22 Digital Media have hired “Uncle Mike” Hansen, a Hudson Valley radio personality, to work on the air and to nurture relationships with community organizations.

“Uncle Mike will host middays on WDLC Country and will also assume the newly created position of community relations director for Neversink Media and AK22 Digital Media,” the two organizations announced.

In addition to the midday air shift on WDLC Country, Hansen will be heard on WALL Radio, WYNY The Pike, 98.1 KZE and the companies’ other local media initiatives.

Hansen is familiar in the area for his work on-air and with community groups over 15 years at WRWD(FM).

“Uncle Mike will focus on building and strengthening relationships with our veteran communities, first responder /EMS organizations, local nonprofits, civic groups, schools, community events and other organizations serving the Hudson Valley and Tri-State region,” the companies said.

The announcement was made by Bud Williamson, founder of Neversink Media, and Katie Berghorn of AK22 Digital Media and co-owner of 98.1 KZE.
