Live video streaming is coming to Montclair State University radio station WMSC.
Its flagship program “The Morning Buzz” will start streaming on March 27 on Hawk+, a free digital platform that curates content from around the New Jersey school’s campus.
“The Morning Buzz launched in 2014 as a weekly show, and then began broadcasting from 7 to 9 a.m. every weekday,” according to the station.
“The show continued to broadcast remotely at the height of the pandemic and it was then that the staff decided to use Zoom capabilities to take the show to Facebook where they found a new audience.”
The hosts, newscasters, sportscasters and beat reporters are all students. Highlights of the show will continue to be shared via the station’s YouTube page and Hawk+.
WMSC is an noncommercial, alternative rock, and talk college radio station; Anabella Poland is general manager. The school’s mascot is Rocky the Red Hawk.
