Radio, Auto’s Connectedness to Be Explored

Former Ford leader Alan Mulally to speak at Radio Show

Radio’s future in the connected car will be one of the main topics of a Super Session at the upcoming Radio Show.

Titled “Executive Future,” the session will feature an in-depth interview with former Ford President/CEO Alan Mulally on Sept. 11 at 3 p.m. Mulally is now on Google’s board of directors.

On the heels of the relaunch of ABC News Radio, this automotive focus — an important advertising category for radio are key, according to organizers. RAB President/CEO Erica Farber says Mulally will discuss insights on the future of automotive and radio’s role in the connected dashboard and on radio’s future in an Internet world.

Before his Ford tenure, Mulally was executive vice president of the Boeing Co. and president and chief executive officer of Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

ABC television anchor Dan Harris will conduct the interview.

The 2014 Radio Show is Sept. 10–12 in Indianapolis.
