Radio Show Aids in Child Recovery

Michael Baisden show claims 12th recovery

While ratings and advertisements mean a lot, sometimes there are other ways a radio show can measure success.

Cumulus Media’s “The Michael Baisden Show” is pointing to its 12th child recovery.

The daily afternoon show airs a “Missing Child of the Week” featurette in cooperation with the Black and Missing Foundation. The foundation focuses on missing minority children.

The series was started in September of 2011 and has resulted in the recovery of a dozen children, the latest being 14-year-old Detaija Jones of Baltimore on May 25.

Baisden states: “It is extremely rewarding to have been able to assist in locating our missing children. Not only does it bring relief to the families but it gives hope to those who have been separated from their children.”
