Following a long-established tradition, Thursday night welcomes the annual NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show. Honoring the best in radio personalities, stations, formats and markets, the reception, dinner and show start at 6 p.m.
Billy Bush, host of Westwood One’s “The Billy Bush Show” and co-anchor of the show “Access Hollywood,” will serve as the evening’s emcee.
Bush began his career in radio by hosting an afternoon drive time show at WLKZ(FM) in Hooksett, N.H. He also hosted a midday show for WARW(FM) in the Washington, D.C. area.
Since then he has reported for NBC at the 2004 Summer Olympics, the 2006 Winter Olympics and most recently at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He’s also covered a number of red carpet events including the Golden Globes and Grammys, the pre-show for Academy Awards and the “2006 Emmy Red Carpet Special.”
Leading broadcast executives will present the annual NAB Marconi Radio Awards.
Presenters include Don Benson, president, Radio Division, Lincoln Financial Media; David Field, president and CEO, Entercom Communications; Val Maki, senior vice president and market manager, Emmis Communications; Virginia (Ginny) Morris, president, Hubbard Radio; Kevin Perry, vice president and COO, Perry Publishing & Broadcasting Co.; Heidi Raphael, vice president of corporate communications, Greater Media; David Rehr, president and CEO, National Association of Broadcasters; and Bayard (Bud) Walters, president, The Cromwell Group.
