Registration has opened for the Public Radio Engineering Conference, to be held April 7–8 in Las Vegas in advance of the NAB Show.
The Association of Public Radio Engineers is busy working on the agenda; broad session topics include guidance on the new EAS-CAP rules, updates from NPR Labs on its accessible radio initiatives and details on upgraded ContentDepot receivers due from PRSS later this year.
In the meantime, two registration packages are available, including registration for the PREC only, which covers the presentations, meals and “Night Owl” sessions.
A second package includes NAB registration, discounted courtesy of NAB and PBS. To get the joint package, you must register and pay by close of business March 1.
Sign up for either conference package, as well as the April 8 dinner, by clicking on the “Register Now” button. The APRE Engineering Awards Dinner is in a new location this year, Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab, in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.
The two-day PREC will be at the MGM Grand. APRE and PBS are sharing some sessions, and importantly, have secured a discounted housing rate for APRE and PBS TechCon attendees. The discounted hotel rate is available only through Feb. 25. Register through PBS.
