AUSTIN, Texas � Attendees at the NAB Marconi Radio Award Dinner and Show will get the chance to hear Rickey Smiley in person, as the syndicated radio personality has been tapped to host the event during the 2017 Radio Show.
Smiley is the host of �The Rickey Smiley Morning Show,� which is syndicated nationwide by Reach Media Inc., a division of Radio One. In addition to his radio show, Smiley works as a comedian and appears on the television shows �Dish Nation� and TV One�s �Rickey Smiley for Real,� which chronicles his radio career and personal life.
The NAB Marconi Radio Awards are given to radio stations and on-air personalities in recognition for their excellence in radio, per NAB.
The 2017 Radio Show, produced by the NAB and the Radio Advertising Bureau, will take place from Sept. 5-8 in Austin, Texas. The NAB Marconi Radio Award Dinner and Show will be held on Sept. 7.
