Ries and Rothschild to Speak at NRB Convention

NRB also welcomes five new members

Raul Ries

The Nation Religious Broadcasters has announced two speakers, Raul Ries and Jennifer Rothschild, for the NRB 2013 Convention and Exposition in Nashville from March 2–5, 2013.

Ries, pastor of the 14,000-member Calvary Chapel Golden Springs in Diamond Bar, Calif., will be one of the main speakers at the Saturday general session.

Ries was ordained by Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa in 1974 and started a small home Bible study that has since grown into a congregation of 14,000 people. He is the evangelist for the Somebody Loves You Crusades and heard internationally on 350 radio stations and translators through his daily radio program, “Somebody Loves You.”

Speaker and author Jennifer Rothschild will make a presentation during the Women’s Breakfast at the convention.

As a 15-year-old girl, Rothschild lost most of her sight to a rare form of retinitis pigmentosa, and she says her mission is now to teach “women how to walk by faith and not by sight.” Rothschild has shared her messages on media outlets including “Dr. Phil,” “Good Morning America,” “Life Today,” “The Learning Channel” and “The Billy Graham Television Special.”

She is also the featured teacher and founder of Fresh Grounded Faith Conferences, as well as publisher of womensministry.net, an online magazine for women in ministry.

The National Religious Broadcasters Executive Committee has also voted to approve five new full members and one associate.

“NRB is excited to welcome these new members into the association’s family of Christian communicators. These organizations and individuals have found how valuable NRB membership is for their own ministry goals,” said NRB Senior Vice President for Strategic Partnerships, Ron Harris.

The new full members are the Linear Agency, Pulse 18 Communications, A Woman of God Ministries and Brod Boy. Bridgestone Multimedia Group will also join as an associate member.
