Salzbrenner Slots in New Board

The board supports mixer configurations with up to 54 audio channels and eight sums, eight auxiliary buses, eight monitoring buses and eight mix-minus sums.

A single slot-in board now carries all the control and audio-processing hardware of the compact desktop or furniture-mount Auratus mixing console from Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup.

The Auratus XCMC board fits into a standard Nexus 3 rackunit base device. The board supports mixer configurations with up to 54 audio channels and eight sums, eight auxiliary buses, eight monitoring buses and eight mix-minus sums.

Control of the system is via the multiple layers of an Auratus control surface with eight, 16 or 24 faders.

In order to maximize utilization of the DSP resources and enable rapid and straightforward operation, the bus layout of the Auratus resembles that of a hardwired console. No user configuration is necessary, with the console presenting itself just like a fixed-architecture analog desk.

The Auratus is suitable for production and broadcast applications, and is able to store multiple console settings for later recall.

In addition to the standard Auratus, Salzbrenner Stagetec offers the Auratus XL, which has the same control surface but is based on more powerful DSP hardware, and also the large-scale Aurus console.
