If your work involves satellite uplinks, this seminar is for you.
The NAB said its Satellite Uplink Training Seminar will take place at its Washington headquarters Oct. 14 to 17.
“The seminar will instruct attendees about uplink operational practices, which minimize the risk of satellite transmission interference,” it said. The annual course helps broadcasters with meeting FCC requirements that a trained operator be present during transmissions.
“Participants will gain an understanding of satellite communications systems, equipment, operating guidelines and safety and interference management techniques,” it stated.
The course will be conducted by Norman Weinhouse, with a guest instructor, Sidney Skjei.
